my Apple/Mac obsession

iSymphony Speaker Bag

This little speaker bag is great for playing an iPod or iPhone at the beach or strapped to a baby stroller during a walk.

The sound is actually quite good. It operates on 2 AAA batteries and has an on/off switch but no seperate volume control (would be nice). It would also be nice if the Mophie Juicepack fit in there with iPhone but it doesn't.

$19.99 can.

Lack of regular posts on macintom.ca

For any readers curious as to why my reviews and tips have sort of become non-existent. I've been busy with a new baby, and pretty much the bulk of my internet involvement is with the www.macnerdnews.com. Which you can listen to on our site or as part of the Mac ReviewCast every week. Other than that I will try and post more links to interesting articles from other great sites related to Apple/Mac.

First iPhone 3GS jailbreak posted w/Video

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~3/acxCbc-XHew/iPhone-3GS-Jailbreak

As predicted, the iPhone 3GS is now jailbroken. George "Geohot" Hotz is the first to publish a full jailbreak for Apple's new phone, only a few weeks after its release. Called Purplera1n, the jailbreak is only Windows for now but there will be a Mac version soon. The Dev team is also working on an update to their ultrasn0w tool that will unlock the SIM as well. Update: Video posted a below . We are one Windows machine away from testing this ourselves but look forward to the extra speed in the PSP emulation and Qik Video broadcasts . iPhone Tethering and MMS: Rogers Canada

Tethering and Picture/Video Messaging (MMS) will be available to Rogers customers as of June 19th, 2009 when you upgrade to iPhone O.S. 3.0.

Tethering
For a limited time, if you subscribe to a data plan which includes at least 1GB of data transmission between June 8, 2009 and December 31, 2009, and if you have a compatible device, you may use tethering as part of the volume of data included in your plan at no additional charge. Tethering cannot be used with data plans of less than 1GB.

After December 31, 2009, they will "adjust" the data plans to reflect how people use their devices??  Should I be worried?

Added cost for using your iPhone as it is intended:

Twitter SMS fever returns to Canada courtesy of Rogers and Fido

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheBoyGeniusReport/~3/kCMNC1d0C4U/

Big news today for our friends up north who have been plagued with cold sweats and night tremors ever since November when SMS service was disabled in Canada . When the service was initially killed, Twitter cited billing issues as the reason. It may have taken a while to resolve those issues, but Rogers has just announced a partnership with Twitter that will revive SMS and allow users to both send and receive tweets via text. What’s more, the new deal applies to both Rogers and Fido customers. Canadians, rejoice! Shortcode 21212 has officially been revived and any and all texts exchange will be covered by your SMS plan. In other words, feature phone users no longer have to worry about how to tell all their friends about the string of minutia that combines to make up each day. Woo! Read (Rogers) Read (Fido)
