I really do have over an hour of audio content from my first tweetup with Lola Wong. In about two weeks I should have the time to sit through and edit it all. It really is just some serious nerding out over iPhone applications, and it's so long I'll need to break it up into parts. We should however do a proper Skyler call with a good recording atmosphere. Tim Hortons has just little too much background noise, ha!

This really isn't ideal, but it's an option and it works. All you have to do is remember to change your outgoing mail account to your alias when replying to or composing a message (in the compose window tap on your email address to reveal other accounts).
Heres how to set it up: Set up MobileMe as you normally would. Then add another email account, choose "Other" account. Type in your name and your alias email address. On the next screen chose IMAP and put in your MobileMe account info (you have to in order to proceed to the SMTP info). mail.me.comComments [0]
Like many of you out there I created a MobileMe account with a username I've had for a long time. When the iPhone came out, followed by push notifications I was excited to benefit from the seamless integration. What I wasn't aware of was that the iPhone mail application was not going to support aliases, which I had set up to use with more professional emails. This lead me to create a Gmail account suitable for replying to work related emails and leaving MobileMe behind. The worst part of is that if I want to let my account expire, I can not use any of my created aliases as a new account name. Once you create an alias it can NEVER be used as a main account. Ever!
So here I am. Keep MobileMe or let it fade away.Comments [2]
